How to get there

The closest subway station is “Colosseo,” which is a 15-minute (astounding) walk to the venue. However, the area is very well connected, with different bus numbers stopping at the nearby Piazza Venezia (8, 46, 60, 80) and Largo di Torre Argentina (30, 40, 46, 62, 64, 70, 81, 87, 492, 628, 916), both at walking distance (about 5 minutes) from the venue. Please check here which numbers work for you. See below how to get there on foot from Colosseo, Largo Argentina and Piazza Venezia.

If you are staying in one of the hotels near La Sapienza, you have several options:

  •        492 (Bus) from via Cesare De Lollis or via dei Ramni to Largo di Torre Argentina. 5-minute walk to the venue

  •        3 or 19 (Streetcar) to Regina Margherita/Nomentana. Go to Bus Stop Nomentana/Regina Margherita (you’ll             need to cross the road twice: once from Regina Margherita to Nomentana, then to the opposite side of Via                 Nomentana). Take the 60 (Bus) to Piazza Venezia. 5-minute walk to the venue

  •        3 or 19 (Streetcar) to Subway Station Policlinico. Take the metro linea B toward Laurentina for 4 stops to                   Colosseo. 15-minute walk to the venue

Please allow at least 45 minutes for the trip. And remember that you’ll need to buy your tickets in advance. (In metro stations, some newsstands and bar with the “Tabacchi” sign. Its cost is Euro 1,50)

How to Get There

If you are not lodging in one of the hotels in San Lorenzo, the 3 and 19 (Streetcars) are the most convenient public transportation: their stop is at less than 5 minutes walking from the venue. “Scalo San Lorenzo/Sardi” is your stop!

You can catch the 3/19 from:

  •        Metro A: Ottaviano (19), Manzoni, San Giovanni (3)

  •        Metro B: Policlinico (3, 19)

Alternatively, the 492 (bus) also leaves you at walking distance (10/15 minutes). Make sure you get off at “Tiburtina/Rieti,” if you come from the center/Termini, or “De Lollis/Verano” if you come from Tiburtina Station.
